Hanging out late one night on 14th street
Looking for Cow and a cheap place to eat
Ran into a rude boy shooting racks of pool
Posturing and posing trying to act cool
He saw we had an album and asked to check it out
He knew it was great but he was too cool to shout
He went up to Al and said”What music do you play?
Is this the new ska beat or that funky reggae?”
He was just plain rude
Just plain rude
How rude was he?
Ben Casey rude
Al said”No man that scene we’re not in
It’s not that we don’t like ska, two tone discs we spin”
We’re punk rockers, we play def hardcore
With a little rappin’ and thrash galore
He threw back the record with a look of disgust
Hoping none of his pals had seen him talking to us
He want to his nine ball and he took a shot
He didn’t say a word but it told us a lot
He was just plain rude
Just plain rude
How rude was he?
Ben Casey rude
He couldn’t stand the likes of us we didn’t fit the mold
Not like the skinhead metal band, so we were told
We didn’t wear Doc Martens, and had lots of hair
No X’s on our hands or tattoos anywhere
We listen to all kinds of music from hardcore to The Knack
If you think we’re one dimensional you must be smoking crack
He didn’t like our haircuts or the clothes we picked
Stupid freaking rude boy such a trucking trick
He was just plain rude
Just plain rude
How rude was he?
Ben Casey rude
Just plain rude
